GP and specialist practices, joint practices, medical care centres.
For doctors
Your practice registers once. From then on you reach patients, care facilities, wound centres and medical supply stores over the same encrypted route — and everything that arrives goes into your existing practice software without retyping.
1Everything in one platform
Not just exchange. Not just medical history. Not just a record.
Not yet another single app, but the shared route for everyone involved in caring for your patients.
Health record
On the patient's device, kept by them, shared deliberately.
Structured medical history
Record once, reuse with every care provider.
Online reception
Appointments, prescriptions, queries and messages to the practice.
Document exchange
Encrypted files between everyone involved.
Transfer to practice system
PDF, GDT and Markdown, without vendor lock-in.
Secure reply
Your practice replies by e-mail or SMS.
Emergency data record
Important information as a QR code, readable without a card terminal.
13 languages
You receive the entries in one of five languages of your choice.
Not another isolated system. You import the entries into the system you already use — as a PDF, a GDT file or Markdown. Without being tied to any particular vendor.
2For practices
Sending is free. Receiving is the practice’s contribution.
Even without registering you are part of the network and can send requests to any registered practice. The difference lies on the way back.
Not registered
- Without registering you can send — what comes back is paper or a PDF that someone has to retype.
Registered
- With registration everything arrives digitally and encrypted — and only your practice can decrypt it.
| The difference | Not registered | Registered |
|---|---|---|
| Request handed over unencrypted, as a PDF or a printout | ja | ja |
| Receive everything digitally and encrypted | — | ja |
| Decrypt with your own practice key | — | ja |
| Your own inbox instead of an email mailbox | — | ja |
| Import into your practice software: PDF, GDT and Markdown, no retyping | — | ja |
| Findable for patients, care homes and healthcare providers — your practice is listed in the DiggAI search | — | ja |
| Secure replies by email or SMS | — | jaText replies at no extra cost — the reply goes out via the practice's own messaging app, e.g. iMessage on Apple. |
| What arrives instead | Paper or PDF, transferred by hand | Structured data, straight into the records |
| Cost | free | contribution from the practice |
What DiggAI costs
One flat fee per practice site (BSNR) — regardless of the number of medical histories or doctors. Patients use DiggAI free of charge.
Monthly payment
150 €per month and practice site, plus VAT. Cancellable up to 14 days before the end of the month; otherwise the subscription renews automatically.Yearly payment
135 €per month and practice site, i.e. 1,620 € per year — 10 % less than paying monthly. Plus VAT.Two weeks to try out, free and without obligation. After that nothing continues automatically: the subscription only starts once you expressly agree to it at the end of the trial.
Sending stays free for everyone — what you pay for is the registration, that is your own practice key including the import into your practice software.
What your data protection officer will ask
Four questions come up before every signature. Here are the short answers — we will send you the documents on request.
Who is the data processor?
DiggAI — for receiving, temporarily storing and deleting the encrypted packages. We provide you with the Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement and the technical and organisational measures.
Where is the data held?
At Hetzner Online GmbH in the Helsinki data centre, Finland — inside the EU. And there only as ciphertext: we do not hold the key.
What does my data protection officer get?
The data processing agreement, the technical and organisational measures and the summary of the security reviews — as a package, on request.
And if we lose our practice key?
You issue a new one, and we call back on the practice number on file before the old one is replaced. Packages still sealed with the old key and not yet collected can afterwards be opened by no one — not by us either. That is why securing a backup of the key is part of the setup.
3A low barrier to entry
The practice registers once. Everyone else can get in touch securely straight away.
Patients, care homes, wound care centres and medical supply stores need no user account and no password. They only create their personal key for the secure reply channel — which makes getting started radically simple for everyone involved. And the registered practice can be found in DiggAI by all of them.
Patients
No account, no cost, in 13 languages.
Care homes and outpatient care services
Collective requests from the resident list.
Wound care centres and wound managers
Prescriptions and queries, structured.
Medical supply stores and providers of assistive devices
Assistive devices and cost estimates.
Other care partners
The same route, the same encryption.
Your practice
One inbox for all five routes.
Set-up in four steps
No configuration work, no project, no appointment with a technician. Everything that needs doing is listed here in full — and the two films show it from start to finish.
Register
Once per practice: name, town, specialty group and two email addresses. No contractual commitment — we get back to you with the onboarding documents and the practice key.
Download the program
Onto every workstation that is to use the inbox — for Mac and for Windows. The second and third computer get the same package.
Enter the activation key
On the first device you install the key file. Every further device takes the key over by QR or pairing code — encrypted, without our server ever seeing it.
Start
From here on, requests arrive in the inbox and go into your practice software without retyping — for tomedo as a record entry with PDF, otherwise via GDT.
4The most common objection
“But the ePA can do that too.”
No central record, no plain text
The ePA is a store — that is its purpose. DiggAI is a conduit: encrypted on the way, collected, deleted. Whatever the practice does not collect, we delete after 30 days at the latest — and at no point can we read it.
Only what is needed, and structured
Not a pile of documents to work through, but exactly the details for this request — transmitted encrypted and usable straight away in your records.
What no record contains
The ePA knows the past. It does not contain why the patient is coming today: the current request and what has changed since last time.
The ePA is built so that the operator should not read along. DiggAI is built so that we cannot.
Not an either-or: the ePA collects what arises after the appointment — DiggAI fills the gap before it. DiggAI is independent of the ePA and not connected to it.
5Why this is needed
Separate channels — and the same questions over and over.
Today
- Repeating your own background information again and again
- Phone, fax, email and letters all run separately side by side
- Documents arrive unstructured and in fragments
- Reply channels that are insecure or cumbersome
With DiggAI
- Record your background information once and reuse it everywhere
- One point of entry for patients and care partners
- Structured information that can be processed directly
- Secure replies by email or SMS
Less phoning
Requests arrive structured — not all at once at peak times.
Fewer queries
The background information is available in full and easy to understand.
Fewer separate channels
One channel replaces phone, fax, email and paper running side by side.
More time for care
Patients and the practice team do not start from scratch every time.
6The real difference
While other systems collect data, DiggAI connects people and facilities.
The health record stays with the patient. Your practice receives structured entries. Everyone exchanges securely — and we technically cannot read the contents.
7Sample views
Two perspectives, one product.
So you can see what DiggAI looks like in practice — one view for the patient (smartphone) and one for the practice (computer). The video below shows the inbox being connected to the practice management system, using tomedo as the example.
Patient · smartphone
- A complete questionnaire in three minutes, on any smartphone, without installing an app.
Practice · inbox
- All patient requests structured in one place, exportable straight into your practice software (GDT).
Show transcript
- As soon as messages from DiggAI arrive, the practice receives a notification by email.
- Messages are stored encrypted in the DiggAI inbox and are only opened with the practice's private key.
- Messages can be filtered by type.
- Here, the appointment request of a new patient.
- After a brief review, the record can be transferred directly to tomedo.
- DiggAI automatically detects whether this is a new patient.
- After a brief confirmation, tomedo creates a new patient master record.
- All submitted information is available as a PDF and in tomedo as a CustomKarteieintrag.
- This allows action chains to be controlled in tomedo.
- Directly from the DiggAI inbox, the practice can reply to the patient by SMS or email.
- Individually configurable text templates are available for this.
All views are examples. The actual app keeps evolving.
